By creating an account or using Humanize.rs, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Humanize.rs is a SaaS platform that provides AI text detection and humanization services. Our service analyzes text to determine if it was AI-generated and offers tools to rewrite content to appear more human-written.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use our service
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

We offer a free tier with limited usage (500 words per month). Free tier usage is subject to availability and fair use policies.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Humanize.rs to improve and refine AI-assisted writing for legitimate purposes, including but not limited to content creation, editing, and quality enhancement.

5.2 Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to use our service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Engage in academic dishonesty or plagiarism
  • Circumvent academic integrity policies in bad faith
  • Generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware or engage in unauthorized system access
  • Resell or redistribute our service without permission
  • Abuse or exploit our service through automated means or excessive usage
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our proprietary algorithms

5.3 Ethical Use Disclaimer

While Humanize.rs provides tools to modify AI-generated text, we encourage ethical use of our service. You are solely responsible for how you use the output from our service. We disclaim any responsibility for academic misconduct or policy violations resulting from misuse of our platform.

6. Intellectual Property

Humanize.rs and all related technology, software, and content are the property of Humanize.rs and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

6.2 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of any text you submit to our service
  • By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content to provide the service
  • We do not claim ownership over your input or output text
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you submit

7. Service Availability and Modifications

7.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service availability.

7.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time with reasonable notice. We may also update these Terms periodically, and continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Supabase (database and authentication)
  • Google, GitHub, Discord (authentication providers)
  • ChatGPT and other AI services (content processing)
  • Various AI detection tools

These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, performance, or policies.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Disclaimer

OUR SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • Humanized text will pass all AI detection tools
  • The service will meet your specific requirements
  • The service will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • AI detection results are 100% accurate

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUMANIZE.RS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Any content obtained from the service
  • Academic or professional consequences resulting from service use

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Humanize.rs, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any content you submit to the service

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Your use creates risk or legal exposure for us
  • Required by law

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. We may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention policies.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Humanize.rs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or violations of these Terms.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Humanize.rs.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
